The Art Advisory Committee is a group consisting of professionals, parents, students, and alumni. These individuals meet twice a year to discuss the direction of our programs. Professional artists, animators, illustrators, and designers talk about what they see as industry shifts in trends and technology, as well as ideas for projects and instruction. They help us decide what equipment and supplies to purchase as well as curriculum changes to make. Current students show samples of their artwork and talk about what they are learning to communicate to the instructor areas they feel need improvement and to gain valuable insight from the professionals. Alumni voice their opinions about how Polytech helped prepare them for college, what instructors did right and what they feel was lacking. Parents talk about the impact Polytech made on their children, how it helped them and any areas that could be changed. Both current and past parents are welcome.
